Hello everyone!
The SWE Holiday party is this Thursday, December 1st from 7-9 PM in Pamplin 1004! We will be doing a few quick announcements, followed by cookie decorating and games! Lauren will be bringing her Wii, and if you have any other games (Apples to Apples, Bananagrams, CatchPhrase, etc.) please bring them! Any questions can be emailed to Livi Erickson.
The Virginia Tech section of SWE is currently in the process of updating our
by-laws. Each collegiate section is required to base its by-laws on a
template provided the national organization. We have modified the template
to meet the needs of our section and have received approval of the
modifications from the National By-Laws Committee. The by-laws must now be
voted upon by our section’s active members. Voting will be held in the next few
weeks. I will be sending an email to all active members with more information
about voting. The bylaws are now posted on this website for your convenience.

November 12th will be our blanket party for Relay for Life! The party will be at 2:30 pm in Pamplin 3004. You must make at least 6 squares before the party so that we have enought to make it. (The whole blanket needs approximately 108 squares!) If you would like to participate, please email Sarah Jennings at sarahj91@vt.edu for more information.
The next SWE meeting is Today, Thursday October 20th at 7:30pm in Torg 1000! The girls who went to the SWE National Conference in Chicago will be presenting what they learned,We will also be doing some ice breakers and talking about our joint Halloween party with AOE (the Engineering Sorority)! It’s going to be a great meeting, and we hope to see you all there!
